Prepare usual parking information
What parking details should I prepare for a first car insurance quote?
Describe where the car is normally kept. Do not change the answer to imitate a parking arrangement you do not actually use.
Direct answer
Prepare the normal overnight and daytime parking pattern, including changes between home, work, study or shared parking. If there is more than one regular place, be ready to describe that rather than choosing a single convenient location.

Normal pattern first
Insurance forms can ask where a vehicle is kept, and Quotezone discusses parking and security as factors users may consider. That does not justify treating a driveway, road or garage as a guaranteed price outcome. The preparation task is simply to describe the normal pattern honestly.
Use two time periods
Overnight and daytime parking can be different. For example, a car may stay at home overnight and at a workplace during the day. Write both down if that is your actual routine.
Shared and changing locations
A shared car park, family address, term-time address or frequent movement between places is not a reason to guess. Prepare an ordinary-language explanation and check how the provider’s form asks the question.
Security is not a shortcut
If you know about security features, keep the details ready. Do not claim a feature you do not have and do not treat a device or parking location as proof of cover.
Use this checklist
- Usual overnight location described
- Usual daytime location described
- Regular changes between places noted
- Known vehicle security information ready
- No parking fact altered for a quote form
